World Agri-Food Innovation Forum (WAFI)

Key information: Under the theme, Empowering Agrifood Innovation: Bridging Science, Technology, and Global Food Security, the Forum is hosted by Beijing’s municipal government. The inaugural World Agrifood Innovation (WAFI) Conference, is co-organised with government and several key stakeholders, including China Agricultural University and CGIAR, the event centers on the theme “Food Security & Future Agrifood.” It aims to foster international exchanges, stimulate discussions on the latest agrifood innovations, and promote industry-university collaborations. The conference comprises a main forum, four thematic forums—including ones for university presidents and entrepreneurs—and the World Agrifood Science and Tech Expo. Parallel and sub-forums will cover areas such as smart agrifood, bio breeding, and sustainable development. International attendees, from scientists to students, are invited to contribute and collaborate.
