Program Officer, Capacity Development
Ms. Amony Blaise is the Program Officer—Capacity Development, ASARECA. Ms Amony has over 10 years’ experience in implementing initiatives for Capacity Development to enhance performance in the agricultural innovation systems. She has over the years supported ASARECA and its constituents, the National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) in boosting capacity development initiatives at individual, systemic and institutional perspectives. She has a passion in agriculture value chain development, public private partnerships, and capacity development for agricultural innovation systems. At the strategic level, her immediate task is to support the NARS to identify the capacity gaps that exist in their institutions and support them in addressing the gaps. She holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors degree of Science in Agricultural Land Use and Management from Makerere University, Kampala. Having worked in the agricultural innovation systems for over 10 years, Ms Amony brings into AR4D facilitation and networking skills that are essential in capacity development initiatives.
