Dr. Samson Musonerimana
Director General Institut des Sciences Agronomiques du Burundi (ISABU)
Dr. Samson Musonerimana was appointed as the Director General of Institut des Sciences Agronomiques du Burundi (ISABU) on 14 June 2024 by the Minister of Agriculture, Republic of Burundi. He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the Ecole Supérieur des Etudes Avancées (SISSA) in collaboration with the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), Trieste-Italy. His specialisation is in “Microbes associated with plants, whether beneficial (biofertilisers or biocontrols) or pathogenic”. He is has collaborated with ASARECA in a number of regional initiatives in the past.
